Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones our shop uses, how our consent banner works, and how you can control them. It supplements Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They make the site remember things between page visits - what's in your shopping cart, whether you're logged in, and which language you've chosen.
2. Cookie categories we use
Our consent banner (Pandectes GDPR Compliance) distinguishes four categories. Only the first is always active; all the others remain off until you explicitly allow them in the banner.
Strictly necessary. These cookies keep the shop running: shopping cart, login, your cookie choices, and checkout protection against abuse. The shop cannot function without them, so they cannot be disabled.
Functional cookies. They remember settings such as language or region so you don't have to choose them again on every visit.
Performance cookies. They help us understand which pages are visited and where things go wrong so we can improve the shop. The analysis is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
Targeting cookies. They are used to measure and deliver advertising. They are only set if you explicitly consent.
3. Your choice
On your first visit from Switzerland, our shop displays a consent banner. There, you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or decide by category. Non-essential cookies - functional, performance, and targeting cookies - are only set after you have given consent.
You can change your decision at any time: use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
Regardless of any banner, you can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. All common browsers allow you to reject cookies generally, delete those already stored, or receive a warning before they are set.
Please note: If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, parts of the store will no longer work, especially the cart and checkout.
5. Third-party cookies
Our store platform, Shopify, sets the strictly necessary cookies that power the cart and checkout. Our payment service providers may set cookies during payment to prevent fraud. These providers act as our data processors and are described in Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever the cookies used in the store change. The date of the last update is shown below.
